About

I was born to be a writer.

Somewhere along the way, I was also given a gift for plants and people, for paying attention to what's growing, what isn't, and what might need a little help finding its way.

That shows up in almost everything I do.

I write. I speak. I mentor. I build community. I have candid conversations with people about life, business, ideas, purpose, and what comes next.

I'm also a Profitable Knowledge Strategist, which is my way of saying I help people recognize the value of what they already know. Your experience, ideas, perspective, relationships, and story are worth something. Sometimes you just need someone else to help you see how the pieces connect.

I've spent much of my career telling stories through publishing, public relations, writing, and community work. I've learned that if you listen long enough, people will usually tell you who they are, what matters to them, and often, what they're trying to become.

I listen for that.

And I ask questions.

The kind that tend to lead to other questions.

A lot of my own questions get worked out in the garden. It's where I think, pray, write, argue with myself, talk to God, and pay attention to what the plants are trying to teach me.

I don't see my work as a collection of different careers or interests.

Everything I do is connected.

It comes back to helping people see themselves, their stories, their knowledge, and their possibilities a little more clearly.

"Helping you help yourself so you can help others."
